The H Series complements Tramec’s extensive gearbox range and provides a robust solution for applications requiring high torque, continuous operation and excellent reliability. Typical applications include conveyors in the mining industry, heavy-duty lifting systems, crushers, mixers and equipment used in waste recycling processes. In these applications, drive systems must withstand high loads and demanding operating conditions around the clock.

Engineered for high torque
The Heavy Duty Series comprises helical and helical-bevel gearboxes with a torque range from approximately 13,100 Nm up to 35,000 Nm. The gearboxes are available in four sizes and with 2–4 reduction stages. A wide range of gear ratios allows the drive solution to be optimised for different applications.
Particular attention has been paid to efficiency, durability and ease of maintenance. The robust cast-iron housing provides excellent mechanical strength and effective vibration damping, which is particularly important in applications involving high loads.
Easy maintenance reduces downtime
One of the key features of the H Series is its horizontally split cast-iron housing. This design facilitates both installation and maintenance, as the internal gearbox components can be accessed without dismantling the entire drive unit.
This makes inspections, servicing and potential repairs faster and easier to carry out directly at the installation site. In industrial maintenance, every hour of downtime avoided can translate into significant cost savings. Ease of maintenance is therefore becoming increasingly important, particularly in mining, recycling plants and process industry applications.
Flexible installation options
H Series gearboxes are available with a variety of shaft and motor connection configurations. A comprehensive range of accessories is also available, including hollow shafts with shrink discs, torque arms, backstops, and various flange and shaft solutions.
This flexibility makes it possible to integrate the gearbox efficiently into both new and existing drive systems.
